Firm History

In San Diego in 1975, Harold Stueven associated with a long time colleague and began Stueven Associates, Inc.  Their mission was to provide the highest quality mechanical engineering services while followed their passion and commitment for the industry by offering young engineers a future with the firm.

Stueven Associates grew substantially over the next 15 years and eventually supported several principals and sixty employees across three offices in California.

In 1991, the economic climate radically changed and Stueven Associates, Inc. dispersed.   Mr. Stueven was no less committed to his mission and, in 1991, began Stueven Engineering Consultants, Inc.  The successor firm has grown to more than ten employees offering a multitude of mechanical engineering services.

While Stueven Engineering Consultants, Inc. provides services for both private and public entities, the focus of the firm is on design-build projects for federal agencies providing military bases with facilities across the United States.  Additionally, the firm has an office in the east coast to service the multiple design projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.
